Kde linux distro ( laptop )

Postby Flame Knight » Sat Sep 25, 2010 10:14 pm

Right now i'm using Kubuntu, but due to some problems and bugs ( some of them i solved ) i want to try another distro.

- I want a distro with the most recent KDE
- I'm installing it in a Laptop ( a new one, so it has good specs )
- It has to have a good compability with Nvidia graphic cards
- It has to have a good Wi-fi support
- If possible, a distro with a DVD version available ( it has more packages and such )
- It has to have a good support for multimedia keys ( play, forward, ... ) This is a main problem in kubuntu, as i only managed to use them with the programs already installed on it. The ones i installed later didn't recognize them

I'm a programmer so i don't mind at all using the command line.

After searching a little i've found opensuse and mandriva to be good ones to try, but i want to hear other opinions as well.
